Precinct Properties Branch – Toronto, ON

Precinct Properties Branch (PPB) is responsible for all renovation/restoration projects, mechanical and electrical upgrades/repairs and the day-to-day maintenance of Ontario’s historic Legislative Building and grounds.

The Project Management Consultant oversees the design, construction and conservation processes of the Legislative Assembly Building and grounds at Queen’s Park.


  • You are a highly motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently or on a team, and the flexibility and other skills needed to serve a client group with frequently changing priorities and deadlines
  • You will demonstrate sound judgement, tact, discretion and sensitivity to the political environment as well as the ability to work quickly and under pressure


  • You will be responsible for leading and managing all phases of the delivery of capital construction projects, as well as mechanical and electrical upgrades and maintenance
  • You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of design and construction documents
  • You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams of professional, technical and administrative private sector consultants and construction contractors


  • With a minimum of 5 years’ experience, you possess excellent project management skills as related to complex capital and renovation projects, preferably with experience with heritage buildings
  • You have completed a post-secondary education in a related field or have equivalent experience
  • Your membership of an accredited design, engineering or management association will complement your knowledge of design, project management administration, construction methodologies and related legislation
  • You have demonstrated leadership, communication, and customer service skills
  • You have strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD; working knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop, an asset
  • You thrive in a work environment that regularly functions with aggressive timelines and are able to manage several key priorities simultaneously
  • You have superior problem-solving, judgment and analytical skills
  • You possess a strong working knowledge the Ontario Building Code and other applicable codes and standards
  • You possess strong technical knowledge and organizational skills

Salary Range Minimum: $71,583 per annum
