Intermediate Support Staff/Technologist

Q4 Architects


Q4 is seeking an ambitious, passionate, enthusiastic and detail-oriented Intermediate Technologist to fill a permanent position in our Toronto office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 year’s professional Canadian experience, with a strong emphasis on the design of low and mid-rise design for communities and mixed use projects and working drawings.

Q4 Architects Inc. is a mid-size, full-service architectural firm with offices in Toronto and Calgary. Our projects are primarily in the residential and institutional sectors. Q4 offers outstanding benefits and provides an engaging work environment.

Qualifications include

·         Strong knowledge and fluent in AutoCad 2016, REVIT an asset
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, wood construction and
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Ontario Building Code, Part 9 design and
  • Ability to work independently, developing and designing, coordinating
  • The ability to work on multiple projects and coordinate with various consulting
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Preferred minimum of 5 years’ Canadian experience in the design and production of
  • Single family and multi-residential experience;
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Customer service focus;
  • Strong work ethic, ability to work efficiently and with accuracy; and
  • Strong analytical and problem solving


College Diploma in Architectural Technology and/or Bachelor of Architecture


  • Execute drawings, construction documents, technical documents, sketches,
  • Collaborate in the production of construction drawings and specifications, according to set standards
  • Collaborate in the production of conceptual drawings, technical production, and in solving technical problems
  • Coordinate the production of plans and specifications with other construction professionals; Conduct research on products and take part in the selection of materials and construction systems
  • Conduct quality control checks on technical documents;
  • Prepare and modify architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. Prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings
  • Contribute to the overall success of the projects by committing to utilizing best
