Intermediate Architectural Technologist


New Age Design is a well established full service architectural design firm in Mississauga.

Our main focus is custom single family home designs and residential renovation / addition projects. For the past 25 years we have designed and completed over 1000 design projects.

We are committed to delivering outstanding service and designs to our clients and we are currently seeking an experienced and qualified individual to join us in delivering our services.



  • Prepare architectural working drawings, including Floor Plans, Elevations, Sections, Details, Schedules etc.
  • Review and co-ordinate engineered roof truss and floor system packages, as they pertain to our projects.
  • Review and co-ordinate HVAC packages, as they pertain to our projects.
  • Co-ordinate with staff to complete architectural working drawings to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • To complete various design, drawing tasks in order to complete concept / proposal drawings.


  • Diploma in Architectural Technology from an accredited Canadian institution.
  • Member or intern member of the A.A.T.O.  or O.A.A.A.S.
  • Minimum 3 years work experience, working as an architectural designer in the residential sector.
  • Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD 2014 / 2018.
  • Proficient in the 2012 Ontario Building Code – Part 9.
  • Strong knowledge of building technology and assembly, construction methodologies, material application, pertaining to home construction.
  • Experienced in SketchUp.
  • Strong knowledge in computer file management.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.

Personal Characteristics:

  • Should demonstrate a strong work ethic with attention to detail.
  • Be able to work independently or as part of a project team.
  • Be able to multi-task and work on several projects at once as they proceed through the various design & construction phases.
  • A valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle is preferred.

Employment Details:

  • Full Time.
  • Hours/week: 37.5
  • Location: 4-2601 Matheson Blvd. East, Mississauga.
  • Work environment: Office.
  • Salary: Based on experience.
