Under the direction of the Manager Facilities, the AutoCAD (Computer Aided Design) / CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) Administrator provides technical and subject matter expertise (SME) in support of all Police Facilities related architectural drawing and facility information systems, including:

*Development and ongoing management of Police Facilities AutoCAD graphic drawing standards; development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of AutoCAD Building Master Archive; linking of all AutoCAD drawings and associated facilities / project/ real estate information data into the Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) ARCHIBUS system, and, providing AutoCAD concept and production drawing services.

*Development, implementation and ongoing management of the CAFM ARCHIBUS system including administration of CAFM information in various related Facilities systems, and, conducting periodic and regular updates of CAFM data including audits and integrity checks of facilities information.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Development and ongoing management of Police Facilities AutoCAD graphic drawing standards; development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of AutoCAD Building Master Archive; linking of all AutoCAD drawings and associated facilities/project/real estate information data into the Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) ARCHIBUS system, and, providing AutoCAD concept and production drawing services.

* Develops and maintains AutoCAD drawing graphic standards and drawing library, including policies and procedures.
* Develops and maintains management system for construction documentation and drawing library.
* Coordinates with external vendors to ensure accuracy of drawings and adherence to AutoCAD drawing graphic standards, policies and procedures.
* Maintains master building floor plans, as-built plans and standards documents, for all facilities, capturing all post-move space reconfigurations, work orders, and design, furniture and construction information.
* Conducts drawing quality audit checks on title sheets, layers, fonts, line types, etc.
* Creates polylines for gross floor areas and internal areas in accordance with the selected space measurement protocols as required (BOMA, IFMA, etc).
* Maintains awareness of and applies building construction processes, plans and related documentation for compliance.
* Produces architectural production drawing sets to support minor projects.
* Conducts regular site and space condition audits, develops and provides standardized reports for Facilities and Security Operations action.
* Leads and serves as the primary in house trainer of CAFM ARCHIBUS system and all supporting applications for all users.
* Supports Facilities strategic planning through the provision of data and drawings.

Position Requirements
Minimum three (3) years current experience including:

* Proficiency in AutoCAD current version preparing test fit/block/space concept and production drawings, MS Office, CAFM systems such as ARCHIBUS and related technologies.
* Proficiency in electronic file management and relational database concepts.
* Performing data analysis and creating detailed reports.
* AutoCAD integration particularly with CAFM solutions and the areas of best practice document control process and standards.

EDUCATION:
Three (3) year College Diploma / University Degree in Architectural Technology, Information Technology and / or other relevant post-secondary education

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES:
Registered Architectural Technologist with Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario (AATO).
