Job Description

Georgian International Land Corp. is seeking a full time Architectural Technologist to work in Barrie.

Georgian International Land Corp. (GILC). Current project are focused predominantly in Simcoe County as a result of the area’s compelling regional growth characteristics. Georgian International Land Corporation is located in Barrie, Ontario.

 

The company has operated its real estate investment business effectively by identifying long-term strategic assets that possess exceptional value

 

Responsibilities

·         Assist in the development of architectural designs and program standards

·         Analyze building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements and other technical documents and reports

·         Prepare working drawings for building permit application, including the coordination of engineered truss & floor designs and structure

·         Assist in the development of program specifications, cost estimates, material takeoffs, and contract & bidding documents

·         Prepare conceptual designs and renderings for marketing purposes

·         Supervise drafters, technicians and technologists on the architectural team

·         Review and inspect construction projects to ensure compliance

 

Qualifications

·         Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Microsoft Office Suite

·         A valid Class G drivers licensing

·         Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

·         Creative and thoughtful attention to detail

·         Superior organizational and prioritization skills

·         Ability to manage multiple projects at once with minimal  supervision

·         Ability to assemble construction documents

·         Knowledge of construction practices and building/finishing materials

·         Strong knowledge of building technology and assembly, construction methodology, materials application and interpretation of manufacturers requirements

 

Experience

·         Member of Association of Architectural Technologists

·         Building Code Identification Number (BCIN) certification in Part 9 – Residential, Small Buildings, etc.

·         Minimum five years of working experience, experience in residential construction or planning considered an asset
